Organisation

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Royal Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group, the Rietberg family and the family-owned company jointly took the initiative of founding the Van Leeuwen Education Foundation. The Van Leeuwen Education Foundation is based in Zwijndrecht and is a Public Benefit Organisation, also known as ANBI in the Netherlands.

Membership and Governance
We are a member of the FIN and follow their FIN Code of Good Governance. The Van Leeuwen Education Foundation is currently not involved in fundraising.

Financial Transparency
After the closure of the first financial year ending 31 December 2024, the Foundation will publish its financial documents in accordance with ANBI requirements in 2025. More information can be found here.

Governance and oversight

Our governance model is based on a two-tier principle with an executive board and a supervisory board. This allows us to be transparent and professional.

The management is in the hands of the board. The board consists of a director who is assisted by two board members for the day-to-day running of the Foundation. The board is responsible for managing the Foundation, which includes setting and achieving the Foundation's objectives, developing the strategy, and formulating policies.

The supervisory board approves and oversees the policies of the board and the general affairs of the Foundation. The founders of the Van Leeuwen Education Foundation, the Rietberg family and the Royal Van Leeuwen Pipe and Tube Group, are represented in the supervisory board. The supervisory board is led by an independent chairperson.
